I began working with Meryl Fury about a year ago. I am approaching 70 years old. Meryl was advocating whole plant based eating, about which I had no idea what it was. Having been raised in Wisconsin, I was definitely married to the idea about the essentialness of dairy and meat in my diet. I had already lost a lot of weight, and felt OK, but not great. I thought this was just the way things were as one got older. Every year in February, like clockwork, I would develop a persistent cough that would not go away until well into spring. That was only the least of it. On a particularly bad year, I caught the flu followed by pneumonia, as well as the cough. Through my talks with Meryl, who told me that dairy products inflame every organ in the body, I decided to try the “no meat, and no dairy” approach. The results were instantaneous. I was expecting there to be some withdrawal period, but no. I felt immediately better - and not a little better, A LOT better. Dumbfounded, I decided to stay the course on this way of eating with support from Meryl. She happily shared resources for me to read which supported a whole plant-based diet. It has now been about six months eating no dairy, no meat, and no junk food – just plants, and I am a believer. And this winter? Not even a cold. I am so grateful to Meryl Fury for this program and way of life. Meryl is a patient and always encouraging teacher. I feel better than I have in years. I wish I had found this program sooner.
