I began working with Meryl Fury about a year ago. I am approaching 70 years old. Meryl was advocating whole plant based eating, about which I had no idea what it was. Having been raised in Wisconsin, I was definitely married to the idea about the essentialness of dairy and meat in my diet. I had already lost a lot of weight, and felt OK, but not great. I thought this was just the way things were as one got older. Every year in February, like clockwork, I would develop a persistent cough that would not go away until well into spring. That was only the least of it. On a particularly bad year, I caught the flu followed by pneumonia, as well as the cough. Through my talks with Meryl, who told me that dairy products inflame every organ in the body, I decided to try the “no meat, and no dairy” approach. The results were instantaneous. I was expecting there to be some withdrawal period, but no. I felt immediately better - and not a little better, A LOT better. Dumbfounded, I decided to stay the course on this way of eating with support from Meryl. She happily shared resources for me to read which supported a whole plant-based diet. It has now been about six months eating no dairy, no meat, and no junk food – just plants, and I am a believer. And this winter? Not even a cold. I am so grateful to Meryl Fury for this program and way of life. Meryl is a patient and always encouraging teacher. I feel better than I have in years. I wish I had found this program sooner.
What a joy it was to have Meryl as my coach! She helped me get past a plateau that I had been stuck in for years! I’ve been plant-based for almost two years and haven’t had a problem with eating plant-based meals but no matter how much or how little I ate I could not lose the extra pounds! I noticed on the Facebook page that there were coaches there that were willing to help anyone who was struggling with this way of eating or had health issues. I didn’t have any health issues but was struggling to lose the few pounds that just wouldn’t move. After meeting up with Meryl on messenger she asked me many questions to try to pinpoint the problem. After a week or so she nailed it down to my water intake and also she advised that I go gluten-free. With those two changes, I noticed the weight began to come off! I’m so thankful and grateful for her patience and her helping me meet my goal.

Away back in February, I began a journey of health and wellness. I requested my friend, Meryl Fury, give me a bit of advice. Suffice it to say, she did a shit ton more than that. With Meryl's coaching and guidance, I have dropped 35 pounds of weight from my frame. My starting goal was to lose 40 by the time I started the Appalachian Trail in March, 2021. 8 months later, with 5 pounds to go, I am way ahead of schedule, and not looking to stop. And it happened during the COVID lockdowns! I am starting another program, with Meryl's blessing, of course, to continue to drop pounds and set myself up for a future career as a health and wellness coach. I have tears in my eyes as I am writing this. I am so grateful for Meryl's deep knowledge, warm support and unwavering commitment to my success. That has made all the difference.
